Demeure Coeur de Touraine is a holiday property near Tours in the Loire Valley. Set in a secluded spot surrounded by greenery, it has an old country lodge feel with a traditional white limestone and timber exterior. It exudes French rustic chic and leisurely living.

Inside, the property has been extensively renovated. Original working fireplaces, wooden panelling and beautiful tiled floors provide character, while modern colours and plush furnishings add comfort. The downstairs rooms are spacious and include a lounge, games room with a pool table, study and dining room – perfect for spending time with loved ones at a relaxed holiday pace. The retro-style kitchen has a great view of the garden and the swimming pool, and a table makes it easy for low-key breakfasts and lunches. The kitchen also leads out to the patio, where there is plenty of outdoor seating for coffee or meals by the pool.

There is one double bedroom on the ground floor that opens out onto the patio and a separate bathroom with a shower.

Upstairs are five more bedrooms and three bathrooms: a master suite with en-suite bathroom and shower; two double rooms that share a large bathroom with a bath and shower; and another double bedroom which shares a bathroom with the final bedroom, a family room with both a double and a single bed.

The bedrooms are spacious, cosy and stylish and the bathrooms are small and simple.

The nearest shops and restaurants are less than 3 kilometres from the house, and it close to a thriving local town that has been officially named a Petite Cité de Caractère – literally a small town full of character.
