This admirable brick and sandstone château seems straight out of a Guy de Maupassant novel. Although the original building dates back to the start of the 17th century (1610), it has continued evolving to become the gem we see today. The recent renovation was carried out by the current owner, a woman with a passion for architecture and decorating, and has been a resounding success. She has given a unique soul to this exceptional property.

As soon as you arrive you’ll be captivated by the immensity of the place. Recognisable from its imposing turrets, the château takes centre stage in the heart of a vast 16 hectare enclosed and perfectly maintained estate. The park and its rose gardens are incredibly romantic and include two beautiful swimming pools, a heated family swimming pool and an independent swimming lane.

Following the example of the park, the interior of this historic property magnificently combines finesse and character. The large windows allow light to penetrate the spacious rooms, all decorated with sophistication; this romantic setting invites you to daydream and relax. Some people prefer the tranquillity of the library dressed in wood, while others will opt for the large lounge.

Fully equipped, the 100 m² kitchen has an old stone fireplace and large worktops. Worthy of a Michelin starred restaurant, this room is made for sharing moments with people. The same applies to the dining room, which places an emphasis on wood.

Nine bedrooms can be found upstairs. Each suite has its own style, skilfully combining the splendour of antique furniture and a warm atmosphere.

Sandy and shingle beaches, wooded countryside, timber-framed buildings and other treasures give the region its reputation; a compendium of Normandy is waiting for you a few hundred yards away from the property.

Ideally nestled between the sea and the countryside, the Dream of Normandy château is located on the Côte d'Albâtre (the Alabaster Coast), which owes its name to the milky colour the sea sometimes takes at the feet of the chalky cliffs. An exceptional area where the white limestone cliffs - which stretch to the famous Etretat cliffs in Dieppe - blend in with the gleaming green of the flowering meadows. The coastline offers landscapes you won't see anywhere else, and has many small villages which will charm seasoned hikers and occasional walkers. Sport lovers will be able to indulge in the pleasures of sailing, golf or tennis.

This prestigious property can comfortably accommodate 14 people, 2 families or 6 couples.

Additional accommodation available on request.

A daily three hour cleaning service in the communal areas is included from Monday to Friday.

- The pleasant Veulettes-sur-Mer seaside resort: its shingle beaches, its cliffs, its seafront promenade, its 20th century villas, its casino and its sailing school.

- The Saint-Valery-en-Caux coastal city: its shingle beaches, its cliffs, its harbour and fishing port, its casino and its Saint-Valéry church. Dating back to the 16th century, this sandstone building has been listed as a historical monument.

- Veules-les-Roses (15 km): officially listed among the most beautiful villages in Normandy and France, this small village combines the charm of the sea and the tranquillity of the country. A very popular holiday destination among 19th century artists (Victor Hugo, the Goncourt brothers...), the village is known for its windmills, its paths along the Veules, the highly varied architecture of its houses (thatched, timber-framed cottages, 20th century villas, fisherman’s houses...)

- Discover many gardens: Varengeville-sur-Mer (30 km) and its 5 gardens (Varengeville, Bois des Moutiers, Vasterival, Bois de Morville and Étang de Launay), and let’s not forget the Monet garden in Giverny (130km).

- The André Malraux modern art museum in Le Havre (75km): this museum shows many many impressionist works (Monet, Renoir, Manet...).

- Honfleur (75 km): known the world over, the town notably houses the Eugène Boudin museum.

- Other international references: Deauville (90 km) and its famous “planches” walks.

- The memorial to the 19th of August 1942: located in Deippe (40 km), it honours the Canadian soldiers killed during the raid of Dieppe, led as part of the Jubilee operation.

- The “Mémoire d'Albâtre” site: discover the different aspects of the German occupation during the Second World War through an original approach. This tourist installation offers an impressive view over the Durdent estuary and the Veulettes-sur-Mer beach.

- Sporting activities: golf, tennis, sailing, horse riding.

- Gastronomy: Normandy is one of the most well-known French regions in this field. It’s an opportunity to try fish and seafood (oysters, scallops), cheeses (Pont-L'Évêque, Camembert), Calvados, cider and other apple-based products (tart, douillon, etc.).

- Stroll through the stands at the local markets in Cany-Barville (5 minutes away from the château) and Saint-Valery-en-Caux (10 minutes away).
