At the heart of a small village in the Minervois, totally integrated into the "Causses" landscape, "Le Château Millénaire" has stood through ten centuries of history. It has survived assaults and fires, particularly in the 13th century during the crusades against the Cathars. Today, it still has a tower dating back to the 12th century and has been brought back to life by the dedication of its current owners.

Following a vast and carefully planned renovation, this listed historic monument has become an extremely comfortable holiday accommodation. With four huge suites, three bedrooms, period living rooms and library, orangery, terraced gardens overlooking the vineyards and a large swimming pool in the grounds, it has everything that is required to make it an outstanding holiday centre. But that is not all: there is also the Château’s wine-making tradition and superbly-stocked cellars, which may be freely accessed from inside the Château.

Whether you’re a simple amateur looking to spend an original moment of conviviality tasting the Château’s wines in the cellars or a more experienced wine-lover seeking to learn more about the region’s wines, the owners are on hand to advise you or to organise a tasting or exploratory tour of the local and regional appellations: Minervois, Corbières, Saint Chinian, Costières de Nîmes…

And it must be said that your stay at Le Château Millénaire would not be the same without the enthusiasm and kindness of the owners, who make a great contribution to what is a unique experience.
