The villa is just a stone’s throw from a lively fishing village and within easy reach of the UNESCO Delta del Ebro nature park which is home to no less than 400 species. The Costa Dorada, or golden coast, gets its name from colour of its sandy beaches, which will no doubt figure on your list of things to do ! The coast is lined with all types of beaches, with the nearest just two and a half kilometres from the villa. Whether you’re looking for a vibrant touristy beach with restaurants and activities aplenty, or more intimate creeks and coves, the Costa Dorada can oblige. 

A rich offer of activities

The local area is certified as a Catalonian Sports Tourism spot, with activities including scuba diving and snorkelling.

A golf course is at a short drive away.

For something a little bit different, you can take a trip out to sea to learn about tuna fishing, or if you prefer to stay on dry land, then you’ll be spoilt for choice for walks in the Deltelbre, Montsant and Priorato natural parks and the local area. 

Local towns worth visiting include the mediaeval town of Tarragona and its ancient monuments, which is just twenty minutes away, and, of course, Barcelona, which can be done as a day trip to soak up the bustling atmosphere, famous buildings and the Gaudi museum. 

Not forgetting the delicious Catalan cuisine – musts include extra-fresh seafood and a beautiful paella made as only the Spanish know how.
