Wooden with high ceilings and large glass roofs, here you will feel as if you’re in the heart of an artist’s studio. With the bay windows open, the area grows thanks to the large wooden terraces. Inside and outside become one and open onto a truly beautiful garden offering different atmospheres at different times of the day. The different areas surrounding this south-facing villa are planted with luxuriant aromatic plant life that provide you with freshness and privacy while you enjoy meals or a swim in the pool.
You will however have to leave your safe haven to discover the numerous beaches nearby. The incredibly beautiful beaches are calm and intimate on the Bay side and endless on the Ocean side, they’re also very popular with surfers. They have different styles and have kept their natural character.
Shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The Cap-Ferret market is held every morning in season and offers unmissable local products.
Oysters are of course one of these unmissable products. Don’t leave without having tried the Bay’s locally harvested oysters. The tasting huts are everywhere and are waiting for you to come and enjoy a nice time at the La Cabane du Mimbeau not far from the villa and in every oyster-farming village in the area.
This Cap-Ferret villa comfortably accommodates two families or three couples.
Parents can opt for the double rooms while the children gather in the bedrooms with mezzanines.

Bedroom N°4 is independently accessible via the terrace or bedroom N°3 through the adjoining bathroom.

The Cap-Ferret peninsula separates the Arcachon Bay from the Atlantic ocean. It’s a place like no other where the wood adorned houses reiterate the link between the sea and the fishermen, and where nature is never far away.
Across the twenty-five kilometres length of the peninsula you’ll find a series of eleven villages that we recommend you to visit, each one with its own personality, something special to draw you in. The best way to travel around this popular region is by bike.
You should try it when visiting the village of L’Herbe and the Chapel of the Algerian villa. In a neo-North African style, it was built in 1895 for a businessman in the civil engineering sector on his return from Algeria. Latin and Arabic inscriptions stand alongside each other, ceramic tiles present geographic and floral motifs, reminding you of the mix of cultures Léon Lesca was looking for at the time and since then has been enhanced by the building being listed by the French Historic Monument Society. The village of L’Herbe is also one of the most beautiful oyster-farming villages in the Bay.
Léon Lesca also transformed a natural depression connected to the Bay into a fish reservoir: the Piraillan reservoirs. This protected natural site leaves pride of place to the local flora and fauna: you’ll find up to 350 plant species and hundreds of bird species. Guided tours are available. You can also try oysters there or even hop on board a smack, these wooden, flat-bottomed boats were traditionally used for fishing and oyster-farming.
In Claouey you can try activities like tennis, golf, tree-top adventure courses, sailing, paddleboarding, and loads more to entertain sports lovers. Of course you could try surfing at the different spots.
We also recommend leaving the peninsula and visiting the other side of the Bay. This time the best means of transport is the boat that you can take at the Bélisaire pier, located 2.5 kilometres away from the villa. Visit Arcachon for its beach, its casino and its quarters named after the four seasons. And of course on the Dune du Pilat which you can climb for an exceptional panorama of the sea and the forest.
