This luxury rental villa on the Costa Brava was recently refurbished and cleverly mixes the homeliness of traditional honey-hued stone with the comfort and convenience of a pure, modern style. The living room and all the bedrooms have air-conditioning, a definite plus in this hot climate. The result is a pleasant and uplifting vibe which invites you to sit back and savour the Spanish lifestyle. And the property's split-level layout creates a feeling of both space and privacy.

The panoramic view is one of this property’s biggest assets. The house and garden have been designed to make outdoor living easy and ensure that guests enjoy the stunning backdrop whether they are inside or out. The outdoor patio is the hub of the home and can be accessed from many of the downstairs rooms. The ground floor comprises an open living and ten-person dining area with floor to ceiling glass doors for a 180° view of the sea. There is a second, smaller dining area in the turret room with windows in every direction which seats a further six guests. A spacious, fully-fitted kitchen lends itself to mingling and preparing meals to be shared together.

There is a self-contained apartment on the lower level which can be accessed via the main house or from the garden.
Upstairs are seven en-suite bedrooms, all with a sea view. The master suite is in the turret and has its own terrace – perfect for sipping your morning coffee as you contemplate sun rising over the sea.

Much of your time here will no doubt be spent in the garden, eating, relaxing or enjoying the spectacular infinity pool which seems to flow seamlessly towards the sea. And if you don’t feel like cooking, there are restaurants within walking distance. Directly below, the property is flanked by two beaches, one of which is popular with nudists. If that’s not your scene, then don’t worry - there are many other local beaches that you can walk to.

This villa can comfortably accommodate two to three families or five couples.

Important: the pool at this villa does not have a security system as they are not required by Spanish law. We advise guests to be cautious if they have small children.

Costa Brava Entre Plages is extremely well situated near a vibrant and colourful seaside town, beaches and the coast. Having many options within walking distance is great for groups as each person has the opportunity to arrange their own activities.

Explore the beautiful beaches

This part of the Costa Brava coast is dotted with secret creeks and romantic coves. The villa overlooks a sandy beach with clear waters, a popular spot for nudists, although many more beaches are nearby. Walk along the Camino de Ronda coastal path to Pals beach, an endless sandy beach flanked by a forest or the small but perfectly formed Sa Riera, a great sandy spot for families. The picturesque cove of Aiguablava with its crystalline waters and authentic Mediterranean feel is also just a short drive away.

Visit the picturesque fishing villages

Nothing says holidays more than a traditional fishing harbour with a ballet of boats bringing in the catch of the day. Try Llafranc, Tamariu and Palafrugell for starters.

The seaside town of Begur

The villa is close to the stylish seaside town of Begur in the Baix Emporda area of Catalonia. The town is vibrant and colourful and the beach has crystal clear waters. Take a walk up to the remains of the medieval castle. It’s a short but steep trek up but you’ll be rewarded with the views. Or simply meander through the streets and sit and enjoy some tapas as you watch the world go by.

Leisure activities to do

- Take a boat out to the 7 Medes Islands, a marine nature reserve, where you can do a spot of snorkelling to admire the underwater landscape and colourful fish.

- Enjoy a family day out at a waterpark such as Water World in Lloret de Mar. With so much hilly terrain, the Costa Brava is no stranger to steep drops, so it’s little surprise that some of the waterparks here go in for vertiginous slides which are far more fun to slide down than to walk up!

- As any keen golfer may know, the Costa Brava has an abundance of golf courses in scenic locations, such as the Emporda Golf Club, the Platja de Pals golf course and the Costa Brava golf club

- For something a little more cultural, art lovers can drive the 30 km to Pubol to visit the Salvador Gala Dalí Castle House, or 60 km to Figueres to take in the Pubol Dali museum. For a great day trip, the beautiful town of Girona is less than an hour’s drive and the effervescent city of Barcelona is 90 minutes.
