From its hilltop location, Esprit Costa Brava offers a vantage point over the Catalan coastline. Apart from style and sophistication, one of the best things about this modern holiday home has to be the breathtaking views. What could be more uplifting than waking up to the Mediterranean Sea and sky every day?
The Costa Brava is reputed for its coastal path, cliffs, hideaway coves and the exotic fragrance of its maritime pine trees. "Brava" means wild in Spanish, and that’s exactly what gives the unspoilt scenery its charm. The stunning natural landscape can be simply admired, or experienced in a more energetic manner; the Cami de Ronda coastal hiking trail stretches for about 40 km from Begur to Sant Feliu de Guixols. Whether you’re relaxing at the villa or out and about discovering the area, the views here really are something special.
Esprit Costa Brava Spirit is in Baix d'Empordà, or Lower Empordà. The nature here is hilly and rugged and the villa accommodates its surroundings with ease thanks to its split-level layout. The main entrance is at street level, with other parts of the house on lower floors. All the living areas and bedrooms have a sea view. The architecture here is typically Spanish, with the split level layout often seen on the sloped areas of the Costa Brava and the neighbouring Costa Blanca – another region where Chic Villas has a carefully curated selection of high-end holiday properties. Esprit Costa Brava is a recently built villa and comes with all the features you would expect for an easy and enjoyable stay: a simple yet stylish décor, air conditioning and a private swimming pool.
The living areas comprise a cosy lounge, a dining room and a kitchen. Pristine white walls and terracotta floors set off understated furnishings in soft colours. Add in the use of natural materials throughout and stunning views through the picture windows and the result is cool, calm and uplifting vibe. These spaces are designed for ten people and are an invitation to kick back and simply relax. Of course, the sunny Spanish climate lends itself to outdoor living, and there are also lounge, dining and kitchen areas outside. The living room and dining room open out onto a terrace and there is an outdoor kitchen on the pool level.
The bedrooms are set out over three floors.
Outside, on the lowest level, is a studio that sleeps two, with a double bed, shower room and a toilet. Being on a slope, there are a few steps to reach the garden and the swimming pool.
Level -1 has two double suites with en-suite bathrooms. In between the two are a children's bedroom and a separate bathroom.
A third suite is located on the top floor of the villa.
The bedrooms are decorated in a simple style, perfect for a holiday home. The bathrooms are uncluttered and have spacious walk-in showers. The children's bathroom also has a bath.
Some of the rooms have a typical Spanish terracotta ceiling, a local touch that lets you know you’re on the Costa Brava.
The surrounding area is quiet and unspoilt. There is a pretty and vibrant Spanish village just over one kilometre away, and many other delightful Catalan villages within easy reach of the villa, that are packed with character and local history. The Costa Brava has plenty of sea and sun but there’s also so much to explore. This villa ticks the boxes for a great seaside holiday with walks, history, culture and food to boot.
The villa Esprit Costa Brava can comfortably accommodate two families with children or four couples.
Important: the pool at this villa does not have a security system as they are not required by Spanish law.

The villa Esprit Costa Brava is located just a few kilometres from the most beautiful beaches and coves on the Girona coast. Some are easier to access than others, but crystal-clear Mediterranean water is guaranteed at all. The Costa Brava coast has something for everyone: golden sand or pebbles, romantic hideaway coves or family beaches, water activities such as kayaking, boat trips or scuba diving, the list of possibilities is endless.
Our top beach recommendations are Sa Tuna, Aiguablava, Platja Fonda and Platja de Fornells to begin with, and if you're ready to go further afield for even more choice, head south to Platja d'Aro, Tossa and Lloret de Mar. Combine a beach excursion with a visit to the seaside towns, fishing villages and mediaeval villages that dot the coastline: L'Escala, Estartit, Begur, Palamos, Tamariu, Calella de Palafrugell, and many others from north to south.
The Costa Maresme and the vibrant city of Barcelona is only a hundred 100 kilometres away and makes a great day trip. Staying on the Costa Brava is a great opportunity to discover the city that was home to the artist Gaudi and its town-centre beaches.
Children and teenagers will love a day out at one of the region’s many water parks: Aquadiver, Aquaworld and Aquabrava are just a few of them.
The Costa Brava is an ideal destination for families and has lots of outdoor active things to do. As well as an enviable choice of hiking and water-based activities, the region is also a great golf destination. Golfers can head to the Golf Costa Brava golf course or the Golf de Pals, which is closer to the villa.
And what better way to finish the day than at one of Begur's excellent restaurants? Taste the local specialties which include lots of fish, seafood, vegetables and olive oil, paired with the region’s Empordà wine. Pa amb tomàquet is a local dish made with a toasted slice of bread which is rubbed with a delicious half-ripe tomato and topped with a drizzle of local cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil. You can also top it off with anchovies, a speciality of L'Escala.
