Best things to do in Costa Brava

Situated in the north-eastern corner of Spain, Catalonia feels – and almost is – a country in its own right. The region is an autonomous community and has four provinces (Barcelona, Girona, Tarragona and Lleida) and its own language. It also has an unmistakable sense of identity – the Catalan population fiercely defend their uniqueness and yearning for independence. In many towns, one of the first things visitors will notice is the yellow flags that adorn facades and balconies throughout the region. Catalonia is steeped in history and encompasses sea and mountains, a perfect cocktail of stunning scenery and delightful discoveries.

Catalonia combines ancient ruins and trendy hotspots, long sandy beaches and rugged rocky coastline, bustling resorts and slow-paced villages. Whatever your idea of a great holiday, Catalonia can deliver it.
