If you are looking for a peaceful location for your holidays in Spain, then read on ! Catalonia Nature is in a small pine forest with a natural park on the doorstep, with a delightful village nearby. Peace and quiet are guaranteed, while still being within easy reach of a lively seaside resort close to Barcelona.

The house is surrounded by a grove of rosemary and pine trees that provide total privacy and the unmistakable fragrance of nature. It is private but not isolated – there is a lively mediaeval village within walking distance. A few miles further out is a larger seaside resort with all the activities and amenities you’d expect to find on the coast.

Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts are in for a treat - the property is next to Parc del Garraf natural area, well known for its walking and mountain bike trails and beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. And the views from the villa itself are enviable too, with the forest on one side and vineyards and mountains on the other. Catalonia Nature offers the very best of inland and seaside features in an exceptional natural environment.

A stylish property 

As well as fantastic scenery, Catalonia Nature is also brimming with style. The building itself is a harmonious blend of old and new. The original farmhouse has been extended and turned into a rental property. Rustic meets modern, with old stone and clean lines combining to create a stylish and sophisticated effect. The décor is resolutely modern. Low-key colours and materials are used throughout, set off by contemporary furniture. The kitchen is functional and well-, the bathroom bright and natural. The villa can sleep up to six people, with air-conditioning and amenities that ensure a comfortable stay. The living room, dining room, kitchen and two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor. The third bedroom is located on the first floor, partly under a sloping ceiling. The fittings are of excellent quality.

Outside, you’ll enjoy being at one with nature, with a 12-metre-long ecological salt-filtered swimming pool with jets of water creating a waterfall effect. Garden furniture and a barbecue are available around the pool.


Catalonia Nature can comfortably accommodate one family or three couples.

Important: the pool at this villa does not have a security system as they are not required by Spanish law.

Wake up to peaceful surroundings and the fresh air of the forest ! Enjoy an early morning dip in the natural swimming pool followed by breakfast on the terrace and make your choice among :

The lively village around

The village is a twenty-minute walk or a short drive. Stroll around or pick up a few bits and pieces. Set between the Mediterranean Sea and the Montgros mountain in the Garraf massif, the village has many aspects. It is a medieval town with a castle and a church; a modern town with contemporary monuments; and a colonial town with its "americanos" houses, built by the Spanish who left to make their fortune on the islands and constructed beautiful houses in Spain on their return. It encapsulates the history of the wider region. Carry on to stroll along the river and sit outside of the many cafés to watch the world go by. There is a market here on Fridays, and every other day in the surrounding area. Buy olives, anchovies, local sausages and cheese, fruit and vegetables, to prepare and enjoy back at your villa.

A relaxing place, perfect for wine and walking

Discover the vineyards : Catalonia Nature is also a wine destination. It is in the Montserrat wine region, which can be explored on foot or by bike. The local producers will be happy to tell you all about their wine and their expertise. Beyond the vineyards is the Garraf Natural Park with its limestone massifs. Head out onto the hiking trails and take in some surprising buildings, such as the Buddhist temple – you can get to it in an hour by mountain bike or three hours by foot. You can also take a guided visit - the Observatori Astronòmic del Parc del Garraf runs astronomy visits at the observatory. Make sure you find out about the level of difficulty of the walks before you set off.

Enjoy the beaches nearby

Head to the beach in the morning to beat the crowds. That’s when it’s quiet and has a special atmosphere about it. The nearby seaside resort (you’ll need to take the car) boasts no less than twenty beaches to choose from. The beaches on the seafront are family-friendly and lined with restaurants. They also tend to have showers, beach bars with sunbeds and umbrellas, water clubs, and ramps for disabled access. Venture a little further than the centre, and you’ll discover wilder coves that are still within easy reach of your villa. We also recommend Villanova beach to the south towards the Costa Dorada. To the north, Garraf beach comes with a picturesque village against a mountain backdrop.

Enjoy an al fresco lunch at your villa, your very own haven of coolness, then do like the locals and take a siesta on the sunbeds by the pool or in the cool air-conditioned rooms.

And the water-based activities

Once you’re rested and relaxed, you can spend the afternoon on the water. There is a plentiful supply of kayaking, water-skiing, windsurfing, and boat trips available near the villa, and a marina is just a ten-minute drive away.

Other outdoor activities

There are three golf courses in the area, including the Terramar Golf Club less than ten kilometres away and overlooking the sea, a tennis club four kilometres away and a horse-riding club.

Finally, take a day trip to Barcelona

A day in Barcelona (40 minutes’ drive) is a must. There’s plenty to see and do. Start by admiring the works of Spain’s most famous architect, Gaudi: the Sagrada Familia and the Guell Park are something special. Stroll around the Gothic Quarter, along La Rambla, and the Boqueria market. Barcelona buzzes with life from morning to night. But everywhere in Spain comes alive in the evening, and the village and seaside town near the villa also have a festive night-time vibe.
