Château Paris Loire Valley – Holiday at a castle

Whether you’re looking for a large property for a family meetup, seeking respite from the hustle and bustle of Paris, or want to explore the beautiful castles of the Loire Valley, a stay at Château Paris-Loire Valley is exactly what you need!

The ultimate French holiday

Château Paris-Loire Valley is a beautiful 17th century property that epitomizes French history and style. Its original splendour is enhanced by modern additions, making it perfect for special times with family and friends.

The interior is spacious and refined, cleverly blending of simplicity and sophistication. Lively colours give the château an inviting and spontaneous feel that will make guests of all generations feel at home. This is a chateau with a soul, where vibrant hues bring period furniture and original features to life.

The living areas are large and bright, with high ceilings, tall windows and statement fireplaces. A main reception room, a billiards room and a music room make it easy to spend time together relaxing and having fun, while a huge 45m² dining room is perfect for leisurely meals. The country chic style kitchen located at the rear will be the hub of your holiday home, with a cosy atmosphere and a beautiful view of the grounds.

Renting a private castle works perfectly for a family holiday, offering oodles of space where adults and children can be as lively or as relaxed as they like throughout the stay.

The six suites and bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with pops of colour on the walls, furniture and soft furnishings adding an uplifting touch. Two additional  small bedrooms (N° 6 and N°8) remain in an older style, not having been refurbished. The bedrooms overlook the front of the chateau or have a view of the gardens at the rear, and all offer total peace and quiet – the only noise you’ll hear is birdsong. The sumptuous main suite is filled with natural light, with windows on three sides of the room and a lovely view of the grounds.

In total, there are five bathrooms with an en-suite bath and/or shower, and two bedrooms with just a washbasin.

The heated and salt-treated swimming pool is placed in a sunny spot with great views of the gardens and total privacy. At 13 metres long, you can put in some short laps and have fun in the water, or simply stretch out on a sunbed on the deck and relax under a parasol.

Renting a castle in France, things to see and do nearby:

Explore the natural world

Château Paris Loire Valley will delight guests looking for scenery, space and nature. The Loire River is flanked by two areas of countryside: Beauce to the north and Sologne to the south. It’s a beautiful area, just waiting to be discovered.

Hop on a traditional boat at one of the villages near the property to enjoy the river and admire the villages and castles that appear at every turn, or rent a canoe, kayak or paddle board to explore at your own pace.

The château is also close to the Loire à Vélo cycle route, designed for enjoying the Loire and its sights.

Finally, this is a walker’s paradise, with forests covering 20% of the region. Orleans and Sologne forests are home to moors, lakes and wildlife. And then there are gardens; in Renaissance times, the Loire Valley was known as the garden of France. We recommend visiting the Jardins de Roquelin and the Arboretum d'Ilex.

Renting a castle in the Loire Valley is an excellent way to combine relaxation, cultural outings and stunning views. Life here is slow and spacious and revolves around the simple things in life.

Visit the best Loire Valley castles

The most famous Loire Valley castles are dotted along the river along 180 kilometres. The journey to them along the riverbanks and country lanes is as beautiful as the destination. Your holiday chateau near Orleans is close to some of the most popular castles to visit in the Loire Valley.

Those nearest to your holiday rental include Chambord, Blois, and Cheverny castles (40-60 km). A little further, we come to Amboise (80 km), then Chenonceau castle (100 km), reputed as most beautiful castle in the Loire Valley. Continuing on, visit Villandry castle and its magnificent gardens, which can be visited separately from the castle, and Azay le Rideau (130 km). If you’re feeling adventurous, you can head out to the Royal Fortress of Chinon (150 km).

Some less well-known sights worth visiting nearer to your chateau include the castle in Meung-sur-Loire, the Cléry-Saint-André basilica, and the pretty villages of Huisseau-sur-Mauves, with water mills, and Beaugency.

Orleans, an Art & History town

Orléans has a rich history. After becoming a political and economic hub in the sixth century, its land, river and wines saw it grow during the Middle Ages. This is also where Joan of Arc fought off the English during the 100 Years’ War. It’s a town with great historical significance, as seen by the numerous old buildings and museums. Visit the old town, the house of Joan of Arc, St. Croix cathedral and the Bishop’s gardens. You can cycle there along the Loire à Vélo bike path in under 1.5 hours.

Loire Valley wines

The Loire Valley is home to some great vineyards. The AOC Orléans and Orléans-Cléry wine appellations produce fine red, rosé and white wines just twenty kilometres from your French holiday home, Château Paris Loire Valley.

Moving along the Loire, we come to the Vendômois, Cheverny, Touraine and Valençay appellations, then Saumur (known for its sparking wines), Chinon and Bourgueil.

Head out for the day and choose your own itinerary of castles and wine estates to visit. The ultimate French experience!
