Dream of Dordogne has everything you’d expect from a luxury French abode; old stone, timeless elegance and impeccably manicured gardens. Set on the hillside, it watches over the Dordogne countryside and the river that unfolds beneath it and invites guests to slow down and enjoy the good things in life. The property, which was renovated in 2015, is made up of two clusters on different levels which are connected with gardens and terraces, so it’s ideal for larger groups. The blue-shuttered manor house has a beautiful terrace, a heated pool and an outdoor kitchen. Not to mention unhindered views of the surrounding valley. Just below is a beautifully restored barn with a courtyard. This pale stone building is packed with character and adds the perfect dose of rustic charm.
Everything about this property is immaculate and inviting, both inside and out, and guests will instantly feel relaxed and at ease. The warm and sophisticated décor cleverly combines the chic of traditional French style with a hint of modern edginess. Colours are natural and uplifting while a flourish of patterns gives each bedroom its own signature .Add in lots of space, sunshine and high-end facilities and you have all the ingredients for a very special stay. Days can be spent basking in the peace and privacy of the pool, heated and salt-water for more pleasure, and balmy evenings spent chatting around the table against a scenic backdrop. Unless of course you fancy treating yourself, in which case you might like to try one of the two Michelin-starred restaurants that are just a short drive away.
With its terrace, gardens, and sweeping views dotted with cypress trees, the villa has a definite feel of Tuscany about it. Take a stroll around the grounds and survey the sleepy Dordogne valley that stretches beyond.
Dream of Dordogne is in the Périgord Vert, or green Perigord area of the Dordogne, which gets its name from its swathes of countryside and woodland which are criss-crossed with rivers, lakes and streams. The Perigord-Limousin natural park is on the doorstep and is home to several castles, including Bourdeilles which is worth a visit.
The Dronne valley has everything the Dordogne is famous for: countryside, old buildings, history and picture-perfect scenery. It’s ideal for families, with lots to see and do. Choose from historic sites, museums, castles, guided tours, leisure activities and outdoor sports to keep the whole family happy.
This property can comfortably accommodate about twenty-two guests or seven couples.
