Un Château en Armagnac is a luxurious and highly original chateau, nestling between the vineyards in the gentle hills of Gascony. Originally a defensive structure, this 12th century castle was rebuilt in the 14th century and underwent successive modifications and extensions, resulting in the building we see here today. Renovated with skill and passion by its proprietor, it today offers an extremely successful combination of charm and tradition, where period features combine marvellously with more contemporary decor.
The warm atmosphere and the sheer sense of well-being are what immediately come to mind when walking through the chateau. Everything has been done to ensure you feel at home from the moment you arrive here and throughout your stay.
It should be noted that the estate-master’s suite is particularly remarkable, original and brimming with charm. This suite has direct access via a mini wall-walk to a fully private solarium area, and also to the swimming pool via a staircase. Simply unique!
Located in the heart of France's historical Armagnac region, from up on its hillside the chateau overlooks the distinctive landscapes of a region combining vineyards, hedged fields and farmland. In this region where gastronomy and the typical French "art of living" have pride of place, there's plenty to tempt you including: wine tourism in the wine cellars, Armagnac tasting in the wine warehouses, plenty of famous restaurants, visits to charming little towns such as Nérac or Condom, barge trips along the Canal du Midi, or the golf course (7km, 18 holes), etc.
Un Château en Armagnac can comfortably accommodate 16 people (with the possibility of accommodation for a further 10 people if required).
Upon request, the property can be hired for events or weddings and has additional reception facilities (reception rooms and dormitories).
