There are plenty of things to do nearby, starting with the beach, which is a great option for playing, strolling or getting out on the water.

Deauville was one of the first towns to embrace the seaside resort trend in the late 19th century and has lost none of its glamour and glitzy reputation. This is where Parisians head for sea air and discerning recreation. Two kilometres of sand are lined with traditional beach huts and brightly coloured parasols. Stroll along the famous boardwalk and take in the names of the famous film stars on the barriers along the length of the promenade.

Or drive 25 minutes along the coast to the Bluegreen Houlgate golf course in Gonneville sur Mer. Start your round by a lake and continue among gentle shrub-lined slopes before finishing up at the top of the hill to take in the panoramic views.
