My Loire Chateau - A castle to rent in Touraine

My Loire Chateau is a beautiful estate in Touraine, the region surrounding the city of Tours. The original building was built in the 17th century and extended in the 19th century. Now fully restored and decorated in a style true to its bourgeois origins, it features an elegant exterior and a tower. It sets a picturesque scene on arrival.

A castle with character

The interior has a decidedly noble décor, with original period features that will take you back time. The wooden staircase in the entrance hall, floor-to-ceiling window drapes and exposed ceiling beams create a feeling of height, space and refinement.

The ground floor reception rooms are spacious and elegant. The dining room and the living room are in one vast room with splendid woodwork and parquet flooring. There is plenty of space for the whole family to gather around the fireplace and socialize in style. French windows lead out to the grounds. The chic French-country kitchen has been entirely renovated, combining traditional charm with modern convenience and facilities. The kitchen also opens out onto the grounds outside.

Upstairs, there are nine spacious suites and bedrooms with a total of seven bathrooms. The style throughout is one of soothing sophistication promising a good night’s sleep.

Rent a French chateau for your family holiday

The leisure facilities have something to please everyone, inside and out.

Inside, enjoy a game of French billiards – much like pool but played on the table without holes. The billiards room is bright and spacious, with doors leading out to the garden. This being France, there is also a fumoir – a lounge that the gentlemen would retire to to smoke their after-dinner cigars. It is still an ideal place for chatting, playing board games or reading.

There is also a music room with a fireplace in the east wing and a television room on the first floor.

Outside, there is a table football set that can be used for tournaments among all generations, and of course the beautiful pool area.

Book your holiday in a French chateau with a heated pool

The heated 15-metre long swimming pool is surrounded by the stone walls of the building which reflect the heat and light. The deck area is lined with sunbeds, with a sheltered area with a wooden framework is ideal for relaxing or dining in the shade near the pool. The surroundings are very well kept and have Mediterranean trees and plants including cypress, laurels and lavender.

Guest review about My Loire Chateau

  • Lenore L. (Australia), 18/08/2023

July 2023 / One week stay : "We have already been to many surprising and charming places in France. So we did not expect to be so utterly taken over by this very special place. My Loire Chateau, far from the hustle and bustle, nestled into the southern Loire Valley countryside, was not only a superb setting at all levels, but the property itself was exquisite. It was renovated with style, neither overdoing the period, nor being stuck in time. It was easy to live in as a modern family, yet wondrous as we wandered up the magnificent central staircases, exploring the multitude of tastefully decorated rooms feeling as if we were in a romantic movie. All the equipment was abundant and in perfect working order. The grounds were ample, with much room to explore and yet nooks and secret parts that took you back in time. The Chateau allowed our family reunion to have numerous hearty get togethers, and it also allowed each to follow his or her own desires, be that tanning by the pool, reading in the shade of a walled garden, playing ball or â??baby footâ?... while utterly charming each and every one of us. A really superbly presented and memorable place to get together with friends and loved ones. Thank you to the owner for her warm and friendly welcome".
