If you like the idea of living like royalty, then My Loire Chateau is for you! Set in large wooded grounds in the Loire Valley countryside, this delightful chateau provides a stunning background for a French stay in the countryside with your extended family or friends.
My Loire Chateau is a beautiful estate in Touraine, the region surrounding the city of Tours. The original building was built in the 17th century and extended in the 19th century. Now fully restored and decorated in a style true to its bourgeois origins, it features an elegant exterior and a tower. It sets a picturesque scene on arrival.
The interior has a decidedly noble décor, with original period features that will take you back time. The wooden staircase in the entrance hall, floor-to-ceiling window drapes and exposed ceiling beams create a feeling of height, space and refinement.
The ground floor reception rooms are spacious and elegant. The dining room and the living room are in one vast room with splendid woodwork and parquet flooring. There is plenty of space for the whole family to gather around the fireplace and socialize in style. French windows lead out to the grounds. The chic French-country kitchen has been entirely renovated, combining traditional charm with modern convenience and facilities. The kitchen also opens out onto the grounds outside.
Upstairs, there are nine spacious suites and bedrooms with a total of seven bathrooms. The style throughout is one of soothing sophistication promising a good night’s sleep.
The leisure facilities have something to please everyone, inside and out.
Inside, enjoy a game of French billiards – much like pool but played on the table without holes. The billiards room is bright and spacious, with doors leading out to the garden. This being France, there is also a fumoir – a lounge that the gentlemen would retire to to smoke their after-dinner cigars. It is still an ideal place for chatting, playing board games or reading. (This room was not accessible in 2022).
There is also a music room with a fireplace in the east wing and a television room on the first floor.
Outside, there is a table football set that can be used for tournaments among all generations, and of course the beautiful pool area.
The heated 15-metre long swimming pool is surrounded by the stone walls of the building which reflect the heat and light. The deck area is lined with sunbeds, with a sheltered area with a wooden framework is ideal for relaxing or dining in the shade near the pool. The surroundings are very well kept and have Mediterranean trees and plants including cypress, laurels and lavender.

This rental chateau is ideally located in the Loire Valley. Local attractions will take you from the Middle Ages to the future : delve into history at castles, live in the moment and enjoy fine foods and wines, or get a peek of things to come at a futuristic theme park...
There are many of them ! The castles of Chinon, Azay-le-Rideau and Chenonceau are just some of the beautiful historical wonders of the region. Each castle has something special about it. Chenonceau castle is unique because of its two-storey gallery and the way it spans the River Cher. Azay-le-Rideau castle is built on an island in the River Indre and was inspired by a combination of French and Italian art under King François I. Chinon castle is a royal fortress built on a rocky spur overlooking the River Vienne.
Fontevraud Abbey is the former residence Eleanor of Aquitaine, Queen of both France and then of England. The Abbey houses her tomb, along with those of her husband Henry 2nd and their son, Richard the Lionheart. Fontevraud Abbey was built in the 12th century and has a fascinating history that guests can learn about as they go round on a self-led interactive tour that will delight adults and children alike. There are permanent and temporary art and history exhibitions.
Discover the wines of Bourgueil, Chinon or Saumur for another insight into the Loire Valley. The Loire region is generous with vineyards. The Bourgueil region, for example, covers 1,400 hectares and has some very good AOC red and rosé wines, not far from Chinon, which is as famous for its reds as it is for its castle. Winery owners offer tastings and visits.
Futuroscope will fast-forward you into a futuristic audiovisual and technological world. The theme park has 40 fun attractions based on images and audiovisuals and is guaranteed to deliver wonder and thrills galore.
