Â
Ideally located in a quiet, charming commune, this characterful family home faces the Loir, a sub-tributary of the majestic Loire River. Neo-Gothic in style, this late 19th-century house is built of freestone, as are most of the monuments in the region.
The spirit of the house, imbued with the maritime heritage of its former owner, is reflected in every detail: travel objects, decorative elements evoking adventure and curiosity, ship models, creating a warm, authentic atmosphere.
All this gives it a soul that will not leave you indifferent. You'll want to know everything about its history. The current owners are the 3rd(rd) generation of the family who own this atypical and original house. Situated in the heart of a town in the Val de Loir, not far from the châteaux of the Loire, and less than 45 minutes from Paris by TGV, this house is ideally located for visiting the châteaux, towns and villages of the Loire Valley, such as Blois and Tours.
Its authentic charm is present right from the entrance hall and contributes to the beauty of this family-run business, handed down from father to son for almost a century.Â
The stained glass windows on many of the house's doors and windows were designed by the former owner. This former sailor was curious about everything and very dexterous with his hands. A self-taught craftsman, he left an indelible mark on the house. He was also a great gardening enthusiast. Every morning, he tended his vegetable garden and flower beds to embellish the landscape of his property.
The exterior of this vacation home for rent near the Loire Valley is divided into several areas.
The first part comprises a large terrace equipped with plancha and barbecue, and a heated pool area with deckchairs, so you don't have to miss a moment of relaxation.Â

The gardener, who is on hand once a week, can provide you with a selection of seasonal vegetables, so that you can prepare your own tasty dishes.Â
The garden is totally enclosed and out of sight.Â
